Our Programs

Programming and community engagement are at the core of our mission. We research and create programs from evidence based sources that provide the ability for us to reach people where they are. Our three main programming areas include mentorship, fatherhood success, and well-being amongst African American men. We work primarily with local colleges, African-American owned businesses, and community action agencies.

Young Kings Alliance

We host education workshops on college campuses that connect young professionals to students, summer mentoring sessions, and discuss relationships, money management, career choice, and academic success. Students have the opportunity to partner with young professionals in a variety of fields to help them succeed in college and after graduation.

Fatherhood Success Academy

The academy is a 6-weekend intensive training that provides fathers and expectant fathers tools in the key areas needed to ensure their success. The program is lead by a trained fatherhood facilitator, and we host father/son events and seminars to support the mission of improving fatherhood success. The academy ends with a graduation ceremony to celebrate fatherhood and successful completion of the program.

Shape Up

Our mission is to work towards improving health outcomes for minority men, and to improve access to health services. Shape-Up provides resources to underserved males in the community by offering health screenings in local barbershops with a focus on sexually transmitted diseases (STD's), diabetes, wellness, and mental health.
